It is open all year round because the climate of the Maremma makes it possible. Every season at “Finoria” offers unrepeatable opportunities for tourism and leisure: first of all, it is located in one of the most interesting areas of the Tuscan Maremma, it is close to valuable medieval centers (Massa Marittima, Suvereto, Campiglia, Montemassi…), to important archaeological areas (Populonia, Vetulonia, Roselle) and to the center of a complex system of Natural Parks; then at the “Finoria” we organize excursions on horseback, on foot, by mountain-bike along paths unreachable by car, and even sea excursions with sailing ships that from the Gulf of Follonica reach the Island of Elba and the other islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
At “Finoria” it is possible to participate in the harvesting of chestnuts (in October), olives (in November), arbutus and forest berries (in May), and manna (in July), and have oils and jams produced together in return.
Sports facilities (swimming pools, tennis, archery) complement the village, and days are spent in the most pleasant way. The village also has large and well-equipped spaces (workshops, library, conference room, atelier) for groups or associations staying at “Finoria” for training or study stages.
